She’s so right about that nursing home thing … we did that both at church and in scouts.
Although growing up we never experienced this kind of charity we always had other families living with us a different times and for different reasons. There was the elderly lady from our church who taught me origami, later there was a family of 4 that stayed with us for a time. Brother and I would put up elaborate plays with their daughters. I still treasure those memories and what I gained from those families through our experiences together.
